The ingredients needed to make Apple Cider Chicken:
  1. Make ready 2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  2. Get 2 cup Spiced Apple Cider
  3. Get 1 tsp Dried thyme
  4. Make ready 1/2 tbsp Dried Sage
  5. Take 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
Steps to make Apple Cider Chicken:
  1. Marinate chicken in apple cider for a minimum of 30 minutes. Reserve liquid.
  2. Heat pan over medium heat and add butter.
  3. Once melted, add chicken.
  4. With chicken in pan, season the side facing up with the thyme and sage. (At this point I also added a handful of whole cranberries to the pan, but that is entirely optional).
  5. Cook chicken until a nice sear has formed and it is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side. (This time will depend on the thickness of your chicken)
  6. Once both sides are browned, add reserved apple cider to pan and cover. Reduce heat to medium low and allow to simmer until apple cider reduces and forms a thick sauce (about 8-10 minutes)
  7. Serve chicken with apple cider reduction as a sauce. Pairs perfectly with my Rosemary Roasted Sweet Potatoes.
